Plating wastewater have diversified component and pH vary largely from 2-3 to 10-11. A common characteristic of plating wastewater is including high concentration of inorganic salt & heavy metal. Depend on what kind of plating metal, so wastewater contain Cu, Zn, Cr, Ni,… and also according to what kind of used metallic salt, so the wastewater contain toxicant such as: xianua, sulfate, ammonia, chromate,… Only a small amount of the organic substance in plating wastewater that formed from frothy substance & surface activated substance, so the content of BOD & COD normally are low and not an object to be treated. The main treated objects are inorganic ion, especially heavy metallic salt such as: Cr, Ni, Cu, Fe,…
